Recap
The senior team rolled into Liverpool to play bottom of the table Sefton looking to get back to winning ways after a poor home performance against Blackpool last weekend. The visitors in white were in no mood to mess around and they dominated the game from the tip off and by half time were 20-63 up with qtr scores of 11-36, 9-27 as their zone press caused the home Stars lots of problems…
The second half was a little closer as the Eagles dropped the press and it allowed the home team to take a few more scoring opportunities as they put 31 on the board to the Eagles 42 including edging the 4th quarter by a score of 17-16…. The 3rd quarter saw the Eagles take this 14-26….
The Eagles had all 12 players get on the score sheet and had 5 in double figures…
The team had travelled without the assistant coach Lucas due to illness, so the stats for the game weren’t available….
Coach Heath said “We had worked hard during training and we definitely executed better defensively which lead to easy scores in transition… We will have to be on point this coming Saturday as we play top of the table Calderdale…”
