Recap
After a one week rest, the Eagles were back in action against Myerscough College. it was a depleted opposition with the away team travelling with only 7 players.
However Myserscough started the strongest of the two teams with the Eagles struggling to contend with the height of their opponents and going into the second quarter 14-8 down. The Eagles knew they could play better offensively and a change up in the defence allowed them to get a few steals to steady the ship and get a few easy baskets to take an 18-16 lead. Myerscough however hit back and both teams traded baskets before the Eagles finished the half the strongest to take a 29-28 lead at the half.
In order the win this game the Eagles knew they would have to put up a better performance defensively as that was what was spurring their offence. They managed to do just that at the start of the third quarter limiting the Spinners to 4 points in the first 6 minutes to take a 44-38 lead going into the last quarter.
A few quick baskets at the start of the 4th gave the Eagles a 10 point lead which they were able to maintain for the rest of the game to close out a 60-44 victory.
