This week at the Vertu Motors Arena we will be taking donations for Feeding Families, the North East-based charity hat offers support, hope and security to those experiencing food poverty.

At this difficult time of the year for so many people and in tough economic times across the board, the Eagles family want to ensure that no families in our region to have to go hungry.

Donations to the Feeding Families Emergency Food Boxes and support packages can be dropped off at the Vertu Honda vehicle outside the front doors of the arena on arrive for this Friday’s British Basketball League game and our women’s tip-off on Saturday night as well as at in the collection boxes in the arena entrance throughout the day this weekend at our Eagles Central Venue League (CVL). 

Collection times at the Vertu Motors Arena this week:

• Friday 8 December at the Vertu Honda Vehicle on the Arena’s Front Plaza
  • Eagles Men vs Bristol Flyers – 4pm until 8pm
• Saturday 9 December at the Collection Points In The Arena Entrance
  • CVL – 9am until 4pm
  • Eagles Women vs Cardiff Met Archers – 6:30pm until 8pm
• Sunday 10 December at the Collection Points In The Arena Entrance
  • CVL – 9am until 4pm
