At such an exciting moment for women’s sport it’s the perfect opportunity to get into basketball with our brand new girls only sessions, coached by players from our Newcastle Eagles WBBL team.

Following the historic and inspirational performances of the Lionesses winning the 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, the first major trophy for a senior England football team since the 1966 World Cup, now is a great time for girls to get into sport.

Our WBBL team have also been breaking boundaries this year with the UK women’s basketball attendance record having been smashed as over 1,200 fans supported our Eagles at the Vertu Motors Arena in March.

The growth of our girls basketball programme remains a big priority at the Eagles and girls sessions take place at our Scotswood Road home arena every week, with two new times starting this September for under 12s (for schools years 6 and 7) and under 16s (for school years 8 to 11).
