Recap
After last weeks victory against Sheffield, the Eagles were back on the road, this time to play Manchester Magic.
The game initially was well balanced, as the Eagles looked to play with some intensity that matched Manchester as both teams tried to stop the opposition scoring easily. However as the quarter progressed Manchester quickly took advantage of poor execution and poor defense to take a decisive lead going on a 12-2 run in the last 3 minutes to take a 24-8 lead.
The second was the worst for the Eagles, too many turnovers and simply not being physical enough left the Eagles scoreless until there was 4 minutes remaining. In that time, Manchester went on a 16-0 run to increase their lead even further. The quarter finished 20-4, the first half was over 44-12.
The third was completely the opposite to the second, the Eagles played with much better intensity and showed what they were capable of, scoring in bunches and getting several defensive stops multiple times. Manchester hit a couple of big shots to finish the quarter 21-17 which only extended their gap even further.
The fourth was the highest scoring for Manchester and the Eagles. Manchester would continue to score in easy bunches off turnovers however the Eagles turned the intensity up anther notch and managed to get to some easy transition scores themselves. Manchester won the quarter 34-18 finishing off a solid victory of 99-47.
The Eagles are away again next weekend, this time against Manchester Giants.
